How to be successful on Youtube (Part IV)

Now that we've talked about who and what you want to discuss on your channel, let's take a look at what follows making a video. Let's take a gander at editing.

You are about to put something you make think is funny, hilarious, and enjoyable to your audience... but there seems to be a lot of things that seem boring or maybe you messed up saying something. Thank God for editing! If you want to edit like a pro that means you need to figure out what is important and what isn't.

The goal of being YouTube is not to make someone see every second that goes into the video, it's finding those little nuggets that you think someone would enjoy or needs to know.

For example if I wanted to watch someone play something over and over and fail every time I would lose interest, but... if you speed up the recording of you failing and maybe putting some funny music (non-copyrighted) then maybe I would continue to watch.

The only time that editing is as big of a deal is when you are doing a live stream. Editing can make for a really good one off videos and most of the time. I myself have edited at least 15 seconds of video and audio and it took about an hour until it was perfect.

In the end if you don't put in the prep work then you will struggle as a YouTuber. Others will put in that work and they will have the edge over you.
